Observation details
One was an adult. The juvenile sitting at the edge of woods facing a meadow (see photos), looking bulky like a Red-tailed Hawk and with a prominent white supercilium and small head, resembles some Northern Goshawks. However, the breast markings are not numerous and they are on a mostly white background, and the tail is rounded with a prominent white edge -- all features of Cooper's Hawks.
