NOTES: 20 (7/13) songs of BIRD #3 at dusk; recorded in two parts at 18:00 and 18:05:45; cut began at 17:57, after bird was first heard at 17:54, in loose association with a mixed-species flock; unseen bird was 25 meters up and 30 meters away off the end of the road into the logging plot (Bloco A) off the west side of Estrada do Gave¿, 2.1 km N of Estrada do Caing¿ [19¡ 04' 32" S, 39¡ 54Õ 17" W]; the bird crossed the unmarked road to its south side during this cut, though still 25 meters up and about 30 meters away; a second bird (either X. guttatus or Dendrocolaptes platyrostris) was seen briefly in the immediate vicinity; at the end of this cut, I was only 15 meters directly under the singing bird, which was in a tree just off the end of the logging road (at the T-intersection); the second part of this cut began at 18:01:23; full overcast, consistently breezy, 82 ¡F.
