NOTES: Recorded at a distance of 12-15 meters and at a height of 5 meters above ground (generally remained 3-7 meters up) in scrubby second-growth on slope just above level of igap¿ / river at far end of trail [03¡ 07Õ 31" S, 60¡ 11Õ 05" W]; the bird seemed to have plain wings, suggesting the possibility that it was Lophotriccus (Colopteryx) galeatus; in response to tape playback, the bird approached immediately and silently, but it was not well seen, because it darted about quite a bit; though the bird did give at least one series of songs when agitated, it was generally silent after playback; dense overcast, consistently breezy, 80¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, River, Riparian, Second-growth, Edge.
