Media notes
Calling steadily for about 5 minutes, but I never succeeded to spot it again.
Observation details
I was happily surprised to find at least one still present in the same location where I've seen them all throughout the late summer, just north of the elbow. Tiny, drab-colored, flushed and flew straight and low over the grass before disappearing in the rocks along the shore. Would not reappear when I pshished, as Song Sparrow almost invariably does. Then began to call incessantly for almost 5 minutes--insect-like chirp/buzz, very unlike Song or Savannah Sparrow's tsip. Recording attached.
