NOTES: Bird was 15 meters up and 18 meters away in crown of a taller trees over generally scrubby forest near intersection of the two roads; seen at the time only as medium-sized bird moving high up in tree, but seen relatively well before this cut was made; partly cloudy, calm, mid 80s; though two birds were singing here, I am not sure if they represented a pair or rival males; bird approached and was seen, but never singing, in response to playback; later bird generally sang, but occasionally called, in response to playback. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Vireo olivaceus chivi to Vireo olivaceus chivi/diversus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Second-growth.
