Media notes

NOTES: Presumably not Conopophaga lineata by range (only C. melanops ever seen at nearby Linhares Reserve), but not certainly identified in the field. Recorded after limited human imitation of the call, to which the bird seemed to approach and call more frequently; the bird was seen 5-10 meters away and 1-2 meters up in understory of primary, terra firme forest; clear, calm, low 70s. Some calls overloaded. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.

  • Red-tailed Amazon Amazona brasiliensis
