Media notes
Painted Redstart at Cape Flattery
Observation details
Heard calling then whisper singing. With C. and L. Wright followed the singing. Found the bird about 30 to 40 feet up in the mix of cedar and spruce. It alternated between flitting about feeding and perching and singing. Could see it spread its tail showing white outer edges. Got clear views of the red belly and dark uppers. Watched it eat an inch worm type crawler. Will try to download poor quality photo later. Mike C. got excellent photos while we were there.
