NOTES: Song after being whistled to; some overloaded on left channel. Bird was well seen 15 meters away atop a fallen log about 2/3 meter off the ground; generally seen walking along log amid moderately dense undergrowth; after whistling, in response to which the bird approached silently, but then began singing more forcefully and consistently (shorter intersong interval); I am not certain if the song itself was really different or not; when first seen after its approach, the bird was also flicking its wings and tail; weather same as previous cut, but with more blue sky evident. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Vireo olivaceus chivi to Vireo olivaceus chivi/diversus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
