Media notes
Recordist tentatively identified this bird as either Luscinia megarhynchos or L. luscinia. Recordist's note: "Same locality as Cut 1 - bougainvillea bush in my garden - and next day. An extraordinary deep and hoarse song for a Nightingale; however, Dr. Thorpe of Cambridge, to whom I submitted this cut, thinks that if it is a European species, it is a nightingale, and he does not think it a Sprosser [Luscinia luscinia], as I had suggested.". Equipment Notes: Recorder: Ampex 401 Microphone: Altec 633 30'' parabola.
