Media notes
NOTES: 11:29 (natural); 11:36 (after playback) Pair foraging in very thick undergrowth, much of it palm and bamboo; initially 15 meters away, later 10-12 meters, and within two meters of ground; problem with identification was that this bird was always associated with a Synallaxis ruficapillus, and we could never be certain which bird was vocalizing (though this sound is more like that of Dysithamnus than Synallaxis); little if any response to playback; Synallaxis described briefly because at the time I thought that it was the calling bird. Response to playback: No response. Habitat: Forest, Cloudforest, Evergreen Forest.
