Observation details
Small sparrow, again today in the same area just north of the elbow. In the low grass, 2 individuals calling with short insect-like buzzes. Both birds flushed and flew low over the grass for about 50 yards before dropping again in the grass. Today I managed to record their calls. With a half-dozen Kestrels and a Cooper's perching regularly in the area, I am amazed at the ability of these birds to remain undiscovered and alive!
