NOTES: Tape notes: Barcus Berry preamp; 4 Sousa chinensis diving & feeding? Band 1&2 in group of 3-5 feeding in less than 50' water. Band 3: a single animal (Sousa) diving on flat; 50m off. Sequence of recording from KSN's notebook: Ken speaking: Band 1. Hydrophone into water. Very loud crackling. Crackling (coninuous crackling sounds). Occasional loud cracks, pops or clicks. End of Band 1: silence. Ken speaking: Band 2. Hydrophone into water. Crackling sounds continuous. Snaps and pops in background. Distinct cracks. Two whistle-like sounds, near beginning of Band 2. Crackling sounds. Loud pops. clicks. Whistle-like sound ("waterfall display" HP5451C/ DB & GEA, June 8 1984). Loud crackling. Occasional pops. Loud pops or cracks. End of Band 2: Silence.
