Media notes
The very first whistled sound is a vocalization from an unseen near-field bird. A second vocalization is heard seconds later, following a shut-off of the recorder, from approximately the same position and some 2 minutes and 9 seconds later a third vocalization, one off-axis, occurs. Precisely 1 minute 50 seconds of dead air time was removed between the second and third vocalizations from this individual at the time this recording was digitally archived. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Coniferous Forest, Montane Grassland, Second-growth, Edge.
