Pomarine Jaegar
Observation details
Pomarines were the jaeger of the day. Nearly all these were light-morph adults with distinctive "spoons," seen well by many observers. A couple did not have central tail feathers, apparently molting, but were clearly large bulky Pomarine types. We mostly saw them flying through or on the periphery of shearwater and gull flocks. At least 3 times we viewed two pomarines flying together, and another sat on driftwood for all to photograph.
