Media notes

NOTES: Sound devices MP-2 High Pass Filter on; BNA: Song (recordist refers to it as subsong, but this type of song is not described in the BNA) is heard. Possibly also some "tseet" (Alarm) notes are heard. CZ 17/06/2004. [I am not sure if this is subsong (something that almost all oscines have, even if not described in BNA), or instead, just a song-type that is not familiar. Either one could be true given that this was recorded on the winter grounds. Whatever it is, there are 23 examples of song and one or two more "partial" songs. Also included are the two-note, "feeding" calls described in BNA (e.g., 0:32) and a variety of "peek" or "tseet" calls, most of which either appear to be associated with the songs or were given as "contact" calls. The series of notes at 5:57 is particularly unusual. Quality unchanged (2-1) - CAM - 28 January 2005]. Other Behaviors: Subsong. Habitat: Grassland, Second-growth.
