Observation details
Photos from various angles. Stocky shorebird, about the length and height of nearby Lesser Yellowlegs, but appearing larger because of the bird's bulk. When feeding, had a 'hunch-backed' appearance. The bill was long and straight. The underside was reddish from the throat to the vent with barring on the vent area, flanks and on the sides of the throat.
