Media notes
The first seconds include multiple songs. The last 30 seconds is a series of sharp "tink" call notes.
Observation details
Singing bird that flew back and forth across the main road from the asphalt trail that parallels the road. We both recorded and photographed it singing and calling—will be added. The call was a repeated tink note different from Sooty or Slate-colored. Breast pattern was very lightly spotted with a dot of brown in the center of the breast. Forehead quite steep, a feature we have noted in Thick-billed in Oregon. These northern birds have smaller bills compared to more southern ones. Upperparts grayish brown with a reddish tail.
