Observation details
Second state record, first photographed. One seen well by all of us as it flew in CT waters, mid-trip, as we were near the N.Y.-CT line, as pinpointed with Google Maps on iPhone. All dark, blackish shearwater with snappy wingbeats and narrower wings than the two other species we observed. Poor record photos.
