Media notes

NOTES: Cover density: OPEN; BELIEVED TO BE ALL BY ONE MALE. WOODS WITH DENSE CLUMPS OF SCRUB OAK. 1 MALE(S) [Sixty-two songs, all of the same, three-part song type but varying in the number of elements in the introductory and concluding parts (the latter varying from 0 to 2). Given that this is an unbroken cut containing a single song type, I have no reason to suspect that more than one bird is highlighted. Quality changed from 1 to 2, 1-2 (quality lower when Contopus is singing and during passing train, but approaching quality 1 at other times) - CAM - 16 June 2005]. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest.

Additional species

  • Northern Flicker Colaptes auratus
  • Western Wood-Pewee Contopus sordidulus
