Media notes
NOTES: mixed woodland; This bird was about 2-4m up in a dense bush. I believe it was an Emerald Spotted Wood-dove (Turtur chalcospilos), but there is a chance that it was a Blue-Spotted Wood Dove (Turtur afer). Zimmerman et. al. shows the Blue-Spotted occurring in the Usambara Mts. (this is recorded in the Usambara foothills) but I thought I was seeing numerous Emerald-Spotted in this area (the Bombo Valley). It was certainly one of the two. HPF@200Hz. Habitat: Forest, Grassland, Thicket/Brush.
