Recording Time: 7:15:00 AM (UTC -4). Temperature: 15 C. Habitat: Coniferous Forest. Background species: Corvus brachyrhynchos, Setophaga virens, Picoides villosus. Behavior and other notes: This recording was made in parallel with Laura Gooch, using different equipment. The two recordings were spliced for upload, with the parts of the two tracks that were best used. The recording is continuous except where there are one second silences. Equipment for different parts of the track is as follows: Primo EM 172 electret microphone, 24-inch parabola, Olympus LS-11 - beginning to 06:21.6 and 17:58.8 to end; Sennheiser ME62 microphone, 24-inch parabola, Zoom F4 recorder - 06:21.6 to 17:58.8. Parts of this track are excellent. Lobster boat noise is noticable in the background at the beginning of the track. Specific Location: Latitude 44.34262301, Longitude -68.05300747, Elevation 39 m. Maine, Acadia National Park, Schoodic Peninsula, Alder Trail. 6.3 km southeast (bearing 157.7) from Winter Harbor, Maine. ID'd by Sight & Sound; ID confidence 100%.
