Observation details
Seen on a tree near myself and a friend. The bird was on the tree drumming away, and after searching for the little thing my friend Sage finally spotted it, a little more than halfway up the tree. It stayed on the same tree the entire time, and we were able to observe the bird for a good 3-4 minutes, and then we walked away. The bird was about 20 feet off of the trail marked as Bear grass on the Shadow Mountain Trail loop near the Selkirk Lodge. Parking is at the Selkirk lodge. Then we hiked about 50 or so meters on Bear Grass trail, and then there was the bird on the right side of the trail.
