Observation details
An extraordinary number for Queensland. A few birds originally scoped from across the lagoon. On reaching the site several more were discovered. Birds were concentrated in a small area at the south western corner of the lagoon. At one stage there were four birds directly in front of us with three visible further away to the side, and one calling loudly from behind cover.
