Media notes

adult/ SY pair calling; adult doing most of the vocalizations

Observation details

*spectacular; a continuing pair (adult + SY; behavior suggests the adult is a male and the SY bird a female) along with an interloper adult (presumably a male based on its behavior); wild courtship/ mate-guarding flights with all three birds (the interloper chased the SY bird while the paired adult tried to exclude the interloper); audio and photos
