NOTES: dawn song from unknown location in mesquite [This recording represents primarily the "Dawn Song" of BNA, with many examples of the Regularly Repeated Vocalization (RRV) interspersed by many more Compound Vocalizations (CdVs; "Tzeeeeerrhhh" Calls) of Smith (1966. Communication and relationships in the genus Tyrannus. Publ. Nuttall Ornith. Cl. 6). In several places, there are sets of Incipient Locomotory Hesitance Vocalizations (ILHVs or "kip" calls), these being most prevalent 0:53-1:06, 1:56-2:06, and 3:33-3:39.
