Observation details
We only got photos of one adult of a family of four Great Horned Owls: Male, Female, and two juveniles. The juveniles appeared different ages, both fledged, but one still having predominantly down feathers covering head. The birds have been present daily on our friends' roof, fences, and trees for a couple of weeks and they have shared sightings of the four-owl family. We saw only this adult and the fluffy headed juvenile. As we saw only the two, we are relying on friends' reports of differences in juveniles' appearance. These shots were taken soon after sunrise.
