Media notes
Bill structure and lack of rusty edging to primaries evident compared to the Little Stint also present.
Observation details
Continuing individuals seen foraging near one another and at times next to the Little Stint. Compact calidrids with Bright red faces and upperparts. Pearly white underparts with limited dense dark streaks in the breast. Paler supercilium. Bill and legs black. Bill thick-based, tapering only somewhat and overall rather short. Silent. Throats solid rufous, eliminating Little Stint, lacked the gold "braces on the back as well. Overall appearance was stouter than the Little Stint. Bill thicker with less tapering and a noticeable droop also eliminating Little Stint. Seemed to feed with less frenetic energy as compared to the Little. One bright and one slightly duller individual. Usually a show stopper, a trio of bright stints was a little hard to handle. The plethora of garbage in the background only added to the experience.
