NOTES: Physalaemus sp. is the prominent "mew" in the foreground. Hyla boans is the deep croak in the background. H. boans was calling from trees at the edge of one of the pools of water. The somewhat raspy trill in the foreground, same relevant prominance as Physalaemus, is unidentified as are several other anurans (e.g. a Pacific chorus-frog-like "rib-it"). This chorus was centered around two large shallow (5-10 cm) pools of water located on either side of the road. These pools were apparently created when dirt was excavated to create the elevated road bed. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Social Context: Mixed. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Pond, Edge.
