Media notes
Subtitle: Guyana rainforest ambience. NOTES: The gecko, unidentified as to species, vocalizes twice. From the beginning of the recording the vocalizations are located at 7:15 and 9:49. The gecko lived in the rafters of the sleeping platform of the Turtle Mountain Camp. I only heard these vocalizations at night. The sound was identified by two American researchers who had been at the camp for several months, and whose gear the gecko seemed to target when deficating from the rafters above. This recording can also serve as a general stereo rainforest ambience of insect sounds, drip, and detritus falling from the canopy. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
