Observation details
According to Rob Fowler: Looks like you got an immature Broad-winged! Super cool spring record!! Not a Red-shouldered due to the lack of pale crescents on the distal primaries, and it has a pretty pale-banded tail with a distinct terminal band. The bird is molting (looks maybe like P4) which explains why it looks like it has those spaces in the same area on the wing. On the right wing, especially, you can see the new primary coming in. I would encourage you to report this bird to eBird and/or the local listserv. Great find!
