Observation details
A post-fledging juvenile was noted in a large pine tree, which was not the nesting tree. When I drove nearby, not knowing the eagles were present, the adult flew off with a partially consumed fish in it's talons. I then noted the juvenile in the tree. When I came back about 30 minutes later, the adult was present, but I did not see the juvenile. The sequence of documentary photos are below. Most likely breeding occurred somewhere nearby.
