Observation details
Quite the surprise! Heard calling, then seen flying in from the southwest, over by the slough. It flew in and landed across the street from parking lot G, in the big field next to the baseball field. We ran over and watched it walk around. Large shorebird, very long down curved bill. No strong facial markings like you’d see on a whimbrel. Posted on tweeters, which got forwarded to the marymoor walk, and they tried but unfortunately failed to relocate, but did look at my photos and agree that it was a curlew, which apparently is a park first!
