Observation details
The main target of the trip, we found two flocks (with 15 and 5 birds respectively) at the Velasquez family's property, feeding with figs and nance fruits, and engaged in social activities, including a pair copulating. According to Juan Velasquez, these birds appear to visit those lowlands only seasonally, in may and june only. Most of the year they are found in the higher slopes of the Cerro Hoya massif.
