Media notes
NOTES: 300m N of camp 12, Type 2 ker chuck chuck! AND Type 4:Chuck chuck!, defintely the male, about 40m high in canopy, still hunting, Otidiphaps nobilis walks past underneath tree and escapes detection, calls include Ker cher cher chuck!, more a kind of chortle, which is unusual. This was the first time that I heard a single bird give both Type 2 and Type 4. Previously I had believed that Type 2 was female and Type 4 was male. This eagle was observed and recorded for >3 hours. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Montane Grassland, Creek, Clearing.
