Drying out their feathers or contemplating life while looking into the horizon? Aaah! probably just drying off!
Observation details
It had just poured, the sky's opened up near and around the Wetland and mountains in the distance. The Waxing's were flying in groups of 30 to 50, then 10, then 75, then all together again more than 100, I'm trying to be conservative, they were drying off from the rain, perching and ruffling their feathers and poofing up as my wife calls it, so as to maximize drying.Cedar Waxing fly in groups, often with other birds of similar stature, seldom if ever, will you see a Cedar Waxing alone.
