Примечания
Second bird seen for a short time with strong backlighting. At first uncertain if this was a male or female - appeared less yellow, but with greyish nape and at least somewhat of a black bib. Song sounded different than the definite male bird, but it was not a Savannah song (which were also being seen and heard). Greyish nape was not as "clean" a grey as that of the male, more mottled, so have concluded the second bird was a female. Also supported by quite a few others who had better views of the breast with just hints of black in the collar area.
Подробности наблюдения
A new lifer for me! Observed on both sides of the road both north and south of the driveway into # 1203. After about 15 minutes, was sure I could periodically hear a second male singing, but could never see two simultaneously (the one was frequently moving around). Shortly before leaving, though, I did see two simultaneously for a bit on opposite sides of the road, but this time the second sounded different than the other that was most definitely male. The second one appeared less yellow, so much so that at first I wondered if it was one of the Savannah's I had been seeing/hearing, but quickly realized the beak was wrong for that, and its song wasn't right either. I concluded by its different song that it must be a female. Was uncertain if the second bird was a female, with what appeared to be a grey nape and black bib (see somewhat poor photos uploaded of the second bird perched on a wire). However, the greyish nape was not as "clean" a grey as that of the male, more mottled, so have concluded the second bird was a female. Also supported by quite a few others who had better views of the breast with just hints of black in the collar area.
