Détails de l'observation
This species popped up as rare for the last week of September. The Bar Chart for Tennessee Warblers shows that historically, the latest sightings were in the last week of September and first week of October. The frequency was 0.4 for the l.w. of Sep. and 0.56 for the f.w. of Oct. That means that 2 checklists for the l.w. of Sep. and 2 checklists for the f.w. of Oct. contained Tennessee Warblers. Linda Pilarski also saw a Tennessee Warbler today (Blackmud Ravine), so perhaps our two checklists are the only two... or maybe those are checklists from earlier years. I watched one for a long time gleaning insects from a sweet pea plant, which was still green and had fresh, colourful flowers. I saw two others on the edge of the woodlot, gleaning insects from the tops of tall box elder trees.
