not finding anything close to the rose-throated tanager in Birds of Belize I referred to Mex & Northern Central Am guide which has a illustration (plate 58) that may match the photos. first what caught my attention was the rose colored throat of which I could only recall 2 species that came close, the rose-breasted grosbeak & becard and neither came close to the photos. next noted was the whitish under , rufous/reddish wing and the head was rather dark. I didn't get a good look nor do the photos provide facial details.
