Mouth whistled calls and got this response.
Observation details
At least two NSWO calling, one responding to my whistles. Really close bird flew into pines from eye level to high perch (50+ feet) and flew when I got spotlight on it for photo. Second bird called in reply to first bird, possible third but up hill at parking lot of historical house- barked briefly in response to my whistles but then was quiet. Effort made for picture but didn't happen tonight. If you know of a roosting NSWO i would love to photograph it without disturbing it! Please email thebirdingproject@gmail.com
