Media notes
A juvenile male Anna's hummingbird fed from the feeder on my deck several times today. He also mined the nectar of salvia blooms.
Observation details
I saw an Anna's hummingbird (female, I think) feed on the salvia and fuchsia on my deck this morning. She had the typical gray body with green spots of an Anna's, but no iridescent feathers. A short while later, a juvenile male Anna's appeared and fed on the salvia and feeder on my deck. He appears to be molting, with iridescent feathers coming in on the gorget and, quite obviously, on the crown. I've seen him at the feeder several times today.
