Observation details
Heard cooing in ash tree below the tv antennae that I photographed the bird cooing from yesterday. When I stopped to look, immediately saw somewhat sloppy nest in the crotch of the tree. Nest was made from sticks/and broken off fresh twigs that still had dried leaves. Female (slighter build) appeared to be incubating as she was sitting in the nest with tail sticking out to the left (very hard to see from picture - took with iPhone before I got out of the truck - thankful I did though as they flew away before I could use the binoculars to get a better photo). Male was cooing and standing over her/at the edge of the nest. There is definitely a population in town as I saw a total of five birds today including another pair south of Library Lake when I first drove into town this morning and the same male cooing away on the spot lights over Grove St.
