Media notes

Eastern Warbling-Vireo at Walden Ponds, where the species has summered for at least several years.

Observation details

My guess is that all 5 warbling-vireos detected this afternoon were Easterns. Two pairs (singing bird + companion), plus a distant singing bird. I recorded one (audio and spectrogram below), and its song matches that of Eastern Warbling-Vireo: long duration (3 sec.) with terminal rising note (squirt!) and herky-jerky phrasing overall.
