Observation details
Female on the pond NE of the dump in the evening. Like Canvasback, but bill and head shape fit Common Pochard better. Subtle silver/gray in "back". Bill appeared almost all black with hint of gray saddle/band. Pale face at base of bill and pale throat. Dark line running up from bottom of bill through the cheek. Had a long look at it through the scope, but I was making it and the scaups nervous, so I did not try to get closer.
