Media notes
Subtitle: Dawn Chorus. Recorded from 0515hr to 0640hr. Recorded in treefall clearing near unpaved road through the forest. Not a virgin forest but had not been very recently logged, and was never very extensively logged. Dense cover. Some of the last remnants of tropical rainforest on the Atherton Tablelands of far north Queensland. Most Australian subtropical and tropical rainforest lies in a strip running up the east coast. The inland becomes dry woodland and outback, while north becomes savannah woodland. ML: 2 subject name changes: Subject changed from Macropygia amboinensis to M. phasianellus and from Dicrurus hottentottus to D. bracteatus to reflect current taxonomy. --Martha Fischer 4Dec2012.
