Small owl observed standing on the road in this urban neighborhood of Los Angeles. About 10 inches in size. Slim-bodied with long, bare yellowish legs, upright stance, flat head, pale face; brown overall. Identified as Burrowing Owl based on small size, long-legged, ground-walking behavior and alert posture, despite atypical location (on road in dense urban setting rather than open fields). Have video.
