觀察細節

with the Horned Larks, showing quite well at times. Smaller and more finch-like than Horned Lark with conical bill, pale brown ear coverts and contrasting dark corners to the ear coverts, fairly dull rufous greater coverts bordered by weak white wing bars. This bird looked quite 'streaky' both on the upperside and along the flanks. Not very vocal, only heard a couple of times. Photos.
