觀察細節

Flushed off of a roadside deer carcass, perched briefly on a tree branch, then flew off. Relocated a few minutes later soaring over Miller Pond Road. Camera safely stashed in the back of the car for the initial observation. Immature bird with a narrow dark terminal band on a white tail. Distinct white spots on the underwing. When perched, golden hackles clearly showing.
