Continuing bird. Medium-sized tern, slightly bulkier and with greater wingspan than WFTs, uniformly jet-black dorsal side, sans white leading edge to wing as seen in flight, and a white ventral side, with contrasting head patterning thanks to white forehead patch (that does not extend past eye). Flying in and out but mostly comfortable preening among the WFTs, only being occasionally harassed (mildly) by them. Comical, waddling gait compared to WFTs when walking.
