Utter point blank views down to 4-5 feet while pishing on Marsh Trail // I honestly initially considered something exotic like REVIxPHVI given how unusual it looked. Darker eyeline, bluish wash on cap / greenish wash on back / slight yellowish tinge to sides of throat & dare I say the bill seemed a bit short for the average WAVI? --- not a PHVI though // sort of gray toned to all coloured areas....... I wanted to check some media when I got home and it's 100% spot on to reference photos of western WAVI from British Columbia etc. ... Very much unlike any WAVI I've seen before in ON // but subspecies can be weird... (see comments on BHVI too! yikes) Oh and I only had a point & shoot camera wrapped in a plastic bag in my backpack (due to rain) so I wasn't going to get a photo (given it filtered away into the shrubbery after I paused).... Oh x2 - i'm also likely gonna try to sketch what I saw - so be prepared for that.. ha..
