Large flock of mixed age large gulls. Adults have white heads with yellow beaks that have a red spot on lower mandible, highly contrasting dark mantle and wings with white tertials and black primaries, plain white unmarked breast and bellies, and pale yellow legs. Sub-adults appear to be first winter, with pale brown patterning on mantle and wings, and pale legs. Loafing on beach at water’s edge, mostly separated from other gulls and terns.
